Hi All:

I am about to order a 2.4Ghz, 4gigs of RAM and 320gig HD. I am more excited than a little kid at Christmas. Is there anything else I should get while ordering?

Thanks

Depending on your preferences...

  • An external hard drive for backups
  • A case or sleeve to keep it in
  • a mouse (not the mighty mouse!)
  • an Apple remote

And if you plan on hooking your new Macbook up to a monitor and using it at your desk, a keyboard, laptop stand, and make sure you have a mini-display port to VGA or DVI adapter (if they make them).

Thanks for the info.

I order, plus I picked up iWork.

I will head to Fry's at lunch today and look at video connector and shells.

thanks

Congrats - My 2.0 Refurb shipped out yesterday. I decided not to pay extra for shipping, so now I have to wait until Tuesday.

Get a good case, personally I have the incase clear plastic hardcase, its $50.00 at the apple store but I got mine for $20.00 on Amazon.com, money well spent in my opinion. Also think about getting a blue tooth or usb mouse, do not get the might mouse but there are many good alternatives.

+1 on the incase. they are phenomenal cases.

I would get a Bluetooth mouse (Microsoft and Logitech make decent ones), no cables or dongles to deal with.

I'd include the AppleCare. With any computer I buy, I always extend the warranty. Since a Dell laptop motherboard fried 15 days the end of the one-year standard warranty...
