If I were to order from the online apple store tomorrow would you guys think I'd have my iMac by the 22nd of December? We'll be leaving town on that day and I want to make sure I have it before we go. Is this time delivery reasonable for Apple? Has anyone else ordered recently?

    I think I'll be ordering a 20" 2.4 with a 500gb HD........:D

It would make more sense to call Apple and ask them personally, rather than on a rumours forum. Twelve days sounds reasonable, but it's the holiday season, so everything is slower.

That is good advice. Personally, I don't think I would want to risk it. I'd wait until you get back.

I ordered a Thinkpad on Friday evening, foolishly believing the shipping estimate of 1-2 weeks, and believing there'd be a chance of receiving it by the time I left for the holidays (the 21st). The moment I pressed the order (as in, the moment they charged my card), the estimated shipping date appeared as 12/26/07. The next day, I canceled my order, and ordered a Macbook from a 3rd party reseller. Their shipping estimate is 2-3 days. Hopefully it gets here in time. The Lenovo situation was just ridiculous.

If you really want a speedy delivery before you leave, why not go to the nearest Apple Store near you? Might we be worth the drive.

If your in OR, why not call PowerMax? Check on their delivery times.

Or as suggested, call Apple directly.

Several options here for you to insure a delivery before you leave.

Yes, the options are good. Nearest store is over 2 hours away. I will call apple.com tomorrow, but I wonder if I will get accurate information? Thanks for the feedback!

I would say the odds of you not getting it by the 22nd are slim to none.
