Ordering S5 Watch from Amazon?

So, I decided to save $50 and bought a SS 44mm S5 watch from Amazon.

Did it the first day the watches appeared on the site which was last weekend.

Amazon is only saying the watch releases on September 20th. As of this post date, they can't give me a firm ship date.

Are these watches shipped directly from Apple or are they shipped to Amazon first?

I ask because I am wondering what the chances are of getting the watch launch day.

It's not the most important issue in the world to get it launch day knowing I saved some money. Waiting a few extra days is fine, however, I would hate to be waiting weeks for stock to arrive.

Anyone have any thoughts on this and/or experience buying Apple products from Amazon for launch day delivery?

I've ordered off the Amazon UK site today and expecting delivery this Saturday 21st.

Exact same price as Apple, but I got to use my Amazon gift card balance!

Just to give an update on this...

Finally received shipping confirmation from Amazon. Watch will arrive on Tuesday the 24th. Not bad.
 
I ordered thru Amazon, black SS Series 5 44mm and this morning received an email said it will arrive tomorrow before 8pm, I do have Amazon Prime and is in SoCal.

I spoke to Amazon and they said none of their S5 watches are shipping to be delivered tomorrow.

So, if that's an actual truth that you are getting yours tomorrow, well...good for you. I mean that sincerely.

That is according to my amazon tracking, if I do receive my watch tomorrow, I will update you. My original email few days ago did say 9/24.
 
Does anyone have visibility of available Series 5 Nike Edition in the UK? I pre-ordered too late and trying my luck today. JohnLewis Very etc all out of stock...
 
Great News!

My Space Black 44mm SS watch that was supposed to arrive on Tuesday just changed shipping status to tomorrow (Saturday)

Looking on Amazon the “release date” is 9/21 now. My assumption is that’s the date Amazon expects to receive stock.

Don't know which side of the pond you are on.

In the U.S. if you ordered early when the pre-orders went live the original ship date was 9/24.

It changed for me this morning to 9/21
 
US East Coast. Ordered this week when the price dropped by $50. I can wait just slightly annoying that they changed the delivery date.
