Hi everyone,

I was cleaning out photos from my camera roll today and I was curious how everyone manage their photos - do you keep everything in the camera roll or download them to your Mac and place them in an album and either sync or delete from your phone, or do you save only a selected few on your camera roll? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

I do a number of things. Firstly, I have Google Plus uploading everything to Google Plus/Drive. I also use Flickr to upload photos I select, and I organize them by event or whatever. I always know that Google has everything safe for me, but if I want to look at a nicer organized presentation, Flickr gives me that.

I have separated work and personal in my phone. Both are automatically backed up to Dropbox. Most images are in my camera roll but set up another library for work field images.

I sort them by albums and leave them on my phone. They are backed up to Dropbox (and Amazon, whenever I get around to opening the app).

If the picture is important I will get it out of Dropbox. If it's one I really want to keep then it get's saved somewhere.

I try to clean up my camera roll into my albums periodically.

My iPhone is jailbroken so I can move my pictures out of the camera roll permanently.

I sort them by year. On January 1st, I take all the photos I took that year and move them to a new album/folder, then start over again.

I definitely take advantage of iPhoto on my Mac. Ever since I was a kid, I would separate photos by events in photo albums, with another album specifically for random pictures. This has transferred over into my digital photo life. I have every picture I've ever taken now on my Mac and iPad.

I can't stand having pictures just in my camera roll. It drives me crazy.

I don't believe people here are assuming photos are only on their phone, but asking how they organize their phone photos. For instance I have a copy of my photos on my computer, as well as have Dropbox and Google+ upload and sync all photos I take, but on my phone I don't want thousands of photos all cluttered together, so I sort them by year.
