Orico SSD PCI-E RAID Adaptor. AHCI?!?

I've just joined the 'repurpose and max out a Mac Pro' camp and am looking at my storage options having got up to speed on booting from AHCI blades, etc.

and can't see any references to users on this forum.

Does anyone have experience of using this RAID controller with a Mac Pro in conjunction with NVME blades as a bootable solution?

This card uses M.2 SATA blades, no? Socket 2.
