Hey everyone, I am looking to upgrade to a hefty 15" gaming notebook (being saving over a year), the Origin Eon15-S comes out at the end of this month, but I know there will be a refresh of MBP by the summer & I know it will be very good too.

The Eon can pack up to 16GB DDR3 Ram, whereas the current MBPs only 8 & I am expecting the same amount from the next gen lineup aswell. (not that 8 gigs isn't enough, but the more the better for running heavy game software.

The Eon also has the GTX485M which is very good, but the MBP will most likely have ATIs 7000M lineup which is supposed to be 30% better than there 6000M series, & also Ivy bridge will be out by than.

Both are going to cost around the same price of $2500, with that in mind it seems like I'd be getting more bang for my buck with the Eon (memory bluray etc), but it doesn't have all the sleekness & craftsmanship of the MBP nor the option to run OS X, however I would be running most heavy gaming software in bootcamp anyway, as Macs are really not designed as gaming notebooks.

    Is it worth the wait?

If it is for gaming, then get a PC.

Btw, as far as I know, most games are still 32-bit, thus they can't take advantage of more than 2GB RAM anyway, unless you want to play four or more games at the same time 8GB should be enough for that.

And no need to make more than five threads about the same issue.
