Original Black Macbook SSD Upgrade

I have heard that the older macbooks will not benefit from an SSD.
It is the original black macbook

Core Duo 2.0GHZ 2GB Ram

The laptop still work well battery is almost dead but it is currently running snow leopard

It uses SATA 1.5Gb/s so it cannot take the full advantage of a decent SSD but the improvement will still be huge as you gain the best thing about SSD, latency.
