Since I have ordered my new iPhone, what if anything can I expect to get for my 1st Gen phone?

Opinions?

A lot, especially since these are the easiest to unlock. Unlock+Jailbreak and you'll get a new iPhone 3G S for free, basically.

Yeah Um. The original iPhone only came in 4 and 8Gb

I'm selling mine for $150-$200 no cheaper.

I have an 8GB with 1 scratch on it..

I was hoping for $150-$200

I guess ebay is the best bet

Original iPhones do pretty well.

Although I have no idea what my white 3G would be worth... maybe $500? I'd love to get 600-700 dollars out of it and upgrade, but otherwise I'll stick with it.

They sell for £200+ on UK eBay I know that much.

It's cause they're so easily unlockable, that's why I chose it over a 3G. I got mine for £100 mind you (family friend) which was pretty unbelievable.

Repair cracked screen (pay $150) and sell for $250+ or just sell it now and get $100 tops? Just bouncing off an idea as we are on the topic of 2G prices

I have a 1st Gen 8GB,

it has software 2.2.1 on it.

Is it more attractive to keep a older version of software on the phone to sell it (so that it can be easier hacked?).
Or is it easier to sell a iPhone unlocked software on it ?

Just curious as I have no idea on what these things are worth.

I'll be probably switched to a 3GS in a few months...

Thanks.

I sold my old one for $25 to a good friend as a favor, then he dropped it in a sink...

The original never had the baseband updated in the later 2.1+ - 3.0 OS's. Thus the can be easily hacked and jailbroken to work on other carriers.
