I have an opportunity to acquire a original Pixel XL 128gb for $300. That's a really good price. This device is brand new as it is a warranty replacement. Is this still a good phone in 2018?

Also I think you get free capacity for original quality photo storage for the life of the device

I actually really like the design of the OG Pixel XL. It’s not too big really. Yeah the bezels are there, but they’re no bigger than what’s on the reg sized Pixel 2 now.

I guess portrait mode isn’t there though with the camera, which I love using personally.

I pulled the trigger. Great device so far! I've been away from android for a while. What are some must have apps or top things to do to my Pixel XL?

Google Opinions Rewards is a must along with Google Photos(this should be default Photos app on your android or ios device though)

Actually, you can redeem this on any Android phone. Just download the Google Photos app. It doesn't require a Pixel.
I think if you’re on a non-Pixel device, you get unlimited photo storage with compressed images. With a Pixel, full size image backups.

I’m currently using a LG V20 and have a Pixel (Really Blue) incoming. I’m excited to test it out, last pure Android/Nexus phone I had was the Nexus 5, the best phone ever.
