Very nice update in regards to battery life so far. The new Apple watch update completed at 1:30pm on Wednesday with the watch at 100% charge. Now at 40% with continuous use.

7am off the charger, a full run commute using the workout app, as per usual. Lots of texts and what not. At 5pm, it's at 66%. Pretty much about where it normally is for me (plus or minus a few). All good. No doubt in my mind it could handle the workout commute back home + anything that comes up tonight.

With WOS 2.0.1, mine is showing 90% at lunch which is much better than usual. I'll see how it does by evening. I did turn off heart monitor during workout to save battery during runs around the same time I updated to WOS 2.0.1 so I might just turn that back on to see how battery life improved all things being equal.

At the end of the day, I was at 52%, a record for a very normal day. All-in-all, very happy.

Good to hear these stories about improved battery life! Still need to update mine

I put my watch on this morning at around 8:15 and now about 10 hours later it's at 79% so it's used 21% in 10 hours or on average 2% an hour. That seems pretty good to me.

Mine definitely improved. I unhook the watch at around 6:30am , and plug it back at 11:30pm, had 34% left yesterday.

Right now I have 86% which is awesome. I consider myself a regular user (I use the watch for simple runs at night).

Pretty happy.

I'm on 3.25 points per hour but I have used the phone etc.

I used points rather than % as % is often confusing, if you know what I mean.

cheers

Slight improvement in battery performance for me but nothing dramatic. The 2.0 upgrade gave me more of a bump. I charge mine at night and wear to bed and wake up with 94-95% and do at least an hour workout and use the watch for most everything and finish the day by 9pm with 60% range now. Battery is fantastic for how much I use it and it is usually at 3+ hours of usage.

I've found that I enjoy my watch much more when i dont pay attention to battery. The only way I can check it is on the iphone NC.

When people ask whats the battery like I tell them its endless..........I place it on a stand at night, I put it on in the morning and so the days go on without battery issues. Still good to know it has improved :)

After 17 hours, I went to bed with a 50% charge last night. With the newest firmware, I've also noticed that my watch is no longer warm when removing it from the charger in the morning.

I had one good day on the new firmware and the other two days have been draining unusually (something caused this to start two weeks ago and I don't know what). I never used to worry about battery -- I'd have at least 40% at the end of the day.
