Hi, I had a few questions about 3.0...

    1. I saw that someone got tethering to work...so the first question is, does anyone know how that works?

    2. Presumbly that person had access to the filesystem...has anyone managed to JB it, even partially yet? I know the Dev team are working on it, but I mean someone else.

    3. For me it does crash an awful lot. Infact it did something rather irritating and sent the same text message to someone 5 times before I could power it off! So I was wondering if I attempt the "famous" procedure to downgrade to 2.2.1 - is it dangerous to try this ie. can I get stuck somewhere in a non-functional halfway between 3.0 and 2.2.1 in DFU?

What version should I try and downgrade to 2.2.1 or something else? (2.2.0)

    Thanks very much,

    Vb

    Hi Vb!

    1) I've heard about the tethering, but I do not know how to do this, and nor would I dare to!

    2) I haven't attempted to jailbreak it. I don't want to take a risk.

    3) Here's a good guide on how to downgrade just posted: http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=670520

I won't be downgrading. Although 3.0 is buggy (that's why it's called beta!) I can totally live with it. It is a tad slow, but it doesn't bother me.
When I installed beta, I installed it as the iPhone being a new phone. So I just had to put all my songs and contacts back on myself. Didn't take more than 15 minutes.

    Good luck!

Not to sure on JB or on tethering yet.
Messaging crashes a lot for me. :( which sucks cuz I use it a lot! It is also VERY laggy! I found that turning it off and on again sorta fixed it.
