OS 3 Beta 5 expired? Anyone?

the betas do actually expire as my beta 4 did expire on me

Wasn't sure what else to do so I just re-ran the b5 update from within iTunes... phone came back up fine. Jumped into flight mode real quick and back again, no issues... weird!

Who gives a damn when it expires?! If you're an authorized beta tester, then just download the new beta and update. If you're an unauthorized beta tester, just torrent the new beta and update. Big whoop.🙄

haha...I just set my clock to June 20th, rebooted and got the pink screen. Then I ran a restore using Organizer and when it was done it still said it was expired.

Good thing this isn't my only unit. No laggy beta for me for a few weeks.

EDIT: Tried doing it in iTunes and it worked.

I messed around with the date and it definitely expires on June 19th. I'd speculate that the next beta will include features that haven't yet been announced so it won't be released until sometime after the keynote on the 8th.

The point was, users were fearing the beta would expire BEFORE a new beta was released. Developer or not, it is irrelevant you can't upgrade to something if it isn't there can you? 🙄

why would apple have the beta expire before they have a new beta or final release..thats a good way to screw over a bunch of your developers..haha
