Greetings,

I'm a new user of this forum and happy to be here.

I've recently upgraded my Mac from 9.1 to 9.2.1 in order to use an MP3 player. Unfortunately, the new OS doesn't see/recognize my Ethernet card; the profiler shows the link as "down." I understand that this was a problem when 9.2 was released, and that there is a fix for it. Does anyone remember what that fix was?

Grateful for any assistance,
~BD

Thank you for getting back to me! I was just thinking I may want to add some information to my initial post...

I've tried the Apple Ethernet Upgrade. The profiler shows the upgrade was installed, but it apparently made no difference.

I didn't try zapping the pram and will do so immediately when I get home.

FWIW:

Machine = G4 desktop
Upgraded from 9.1 to 9.2.1 via retail-sealed upgrade CD; NOT a full install.
Externals = Palm crade and Minolta Dimage Multi II scanner.
No 3rd party hacks or modifiers are installed.

Thanks again, friendly Mac folks!

Maybe the 9.2.2 updater?

You can get it here (got problems connecting to Apple's download site...?)

You are sure the ethernet card does work (or no loose cable? :D )

I've downloaded the 9.2.2 upgrade. Does it matter that the CD was burned in a PC? Will the file extension work?

I'm positive the Enet card works because I was using it (I was online) before I upgraded the OS. Also, I double-checked my cables. :)

Thanks again!
