being a hardware tech, many of my fellow hardware techs (A+, MCSE, BSEE/ELs, CCNAs, etc. and i often get excited with big specs and sometimes do forget about the coding which makes it all happen
the introduction of os x is definitely up there with the importance of the imac which helped save apple (along with jobs' as boss and that pipsqeak's money from redmond)
