Hi,
recently I've been having various concerns with my O/S being manipulated. I ask the question can anyone provide advice on how these files got on my system without my consent or acknowledgement.... I've also check console log and a huge chuck of days are missing..?

Folder>OS X Install Data
AdditionalEssentials.pkg
AdditionalSpeechVoices.pkg
AsianLanguagesSupport.pkg
BaseSystem.dmg
BaseSystemBinaries.pkg
BaseSystemResources.pkg
BSD.pkg
Essentials.pkg
ia.log
index.sproduct
JavaEssentials.pkg
JavaTools.pkg
MacOSXInstaller.choiceChanges
MediaFiles.pkg
minstallconfig.xml
OSInstall.mpkg
OSInstall.pkg
OSInstallAttr.plist
OxfordDictionaries.pkg
RemoteDesktop.pkg
X11redirect.pkg

That is the typical OS X Install package... Could it have automatically downloaded Mavericks/Yosemite/El Capitan/Sierra for you? Check in your Applications folder.
