os ML Recovery question?

Im about to up grade to OS mountain lion to my macbook air, it is currently running lion and has the lion recovery partition. If I upgrade does it also upgrade partition? I ask because if I want to revert back this could be a problem.

As far as I know the update to ML will update the recovery too.
