I registered for the beta program, will I be able to update from the beta to the final GM version when it comes out or will I have to do a complete wipe and install?

Not always but most of the times, you should get the GM update via the App Store.

You really should do a complete wipe and install for when you decide you're done with the betas, you'll have less problems down the line. If you're still going to use betas after 10.10.3, you shouldn't need to do the wipe.

If you are going to participate in the beta program I would suggest creating a new partition and install all the betas to the new partition. This way you won't affect your primary install in the primary partition. When you are done with the beta, reboot back to the primary partition and delete the other partition.

I'm going to echo this for one primary reason. With the most recent update, all of my apps except one (the Battle.net launcher) work fine. Of course, that's the one app I need to have running because it's Friday. With a clean install to a separate partition, this wouldn't be an issue because I'd be able to boot to 10.10.2. But without the beta installed seperately, I'm stuck (on this machine) without a functioning app until Blizzard figures out what's broken.
