I haven't had any problems since installing 10.5.8, but I also wouldn't go so far as to say my system is running any better or worse than it was under 10.5.7. Just my $.02.
ic, thanks. my mackbook has started to take a while (more than I anticipated) to restart so maybe this will boost it up a bitcombo update "works" from 10.5 on every update;
via software you have to have 10.5.7 to get updated .. (to 10.5.8)
combo is always better, as if some files are "not right" it updates everything.
this all in simple words ...
there are a few things that slows down the startup, and an OS update isn't exactly a magic wand, it does fixes other things...ic, thanks. my mackbook has started to take a while (more than I anticipated) to restart so maybe this will boost it up a bit
Hi,
Downloaded the update and noticed Safari loads faster. Not sure whether that was because I did a fresh install of the OS because first time I tried to update it required a restart and hung on "Starting installer script" for ages and wouldn't boot past the Apple screen. Works fine now though and seems alright.
I already installed the automatic update =x what would happen if I go and download the combo and install it over the automatic update?
