I think you don´t get it at all.

The next Mac OS will be iTunes X by the rate they bloat it with each release..

The iTunes bloat can't really be helped. iTunes does so many things these days out of necessity; it's a music/movie/app manager, a hardware manager, a store/browser, a movie player, etc. If Apple were to make separate software for each of these functions it would turn people off iPods/iPhones and iTunes. It needs to be all in one software because people are lazy.

You are right. But they could make it a little bit faster. Because slowlyness turns me off too. And of course: Only joking!

I would expect that a rewritten 64 bit iTunes will run a lot better under SL than the current one does.

Honestly though, iTunes runs like a greased monkey on my 2.93ghz dual core iMac. I have over 40GB of music being managed, movies, iPhone applications, etc, and it never slows down even a little bit.

Yep i´m hoping for a 64bit rewrite on 090909 too. Mine runs a little sluggish compared to safari, mail or ical. It was slower in leopard and it is now with 10.6.

And I think we can safely say that Clouded Leopard won't be 10.7.
Why not?

If they integrate a lot of netowrk functionality that makes OS X work better in the "Cloud", the name Clouded Leopard would actually make sense.

Snow Leopard was about a diet (the Unica unica is smaller than the Panthera pardus), Clouded Leopard is about connectivity (it's "clouded").

Cougar is out. It is Puma Concolor and has been used by Apple as Puma and Panther. Clouded Leopard would be loved by MS, so, no.
Well, Apple uses names of big cats, not species, to name their OS. Cougar is a different, unused name, even if it refers to the same species.

Depends on the level and changes and new features, and they better be good and many. Mac OS users often get a truckload of new features with every new release. SL hasnt delivered on that front (to the simple end user) so i would suggest-

Max OS X lynX with a gigantic X on the box (like leopard) feature a complete redesign of the UI to look like quicktime X and right clicks like those in iMovie and the dock. Featuing iTunes X and safari X

I couldn't agree more, I think the next OSX needs to have the marble and hud interface that is used in quicktime x and the contextual menus in the dock, used throughout the entire OS.

theres so many cats...
not counting domestic ones of course.
so im thinking lion will be the last one, if this isn't the end.
so something like lynx or caracal would be cool
