OS X can't read SD card/kernel panic, windows XP or Vista Can

I'm using my friend's camera. It comes with an SD card. I tried to upload the photos to my macbook but every time i hook it up, i instantaneously get a kernel panic. On my brother's macbook, nothing happens. Literally nothing. He doesn't get a kernel panic, but it doesn't even mount.

On my dad's laptop, which is a PC, everything's ok. It shows up without problems.

What gives??

Have you done any iphone hacking? Have you replaced any kext or usb driver files in the recent past?

With your brothers MacBook try loading iPhoto first then plug in the Camera.
