I have OS X Server installed on a Hackintosh running El Capitan and I am having an issue setting up a VPN. I can't seem to get the authentication correct for the admin account. I'm trying to connect via my iPhone 6.

I made another user in the OS X server utility simply called "shared" and connected with absolutely no problems. But I cannot get it to connect with my admin account. I aways get "Authentication Failure"

For the account section on the VPN utility on my iPhone, show be entering my "Full Name" or my "Account name?" I have tried both and i see no difference.

Thanks for the help.

Did you change the Shared Secret? The default one has a bunch of special characters. If I remember correctly I had to change it to something without special characters for iOS devices to work.

I did. And everything works fine as long as I'm not trying to use that first admin account. Beings its a server I just made another profile for myself and what not, and left that other one as a server only account I guess. Works fine, I was just curious.
