OS X email clients

Anyone got an recommendations about replacement email clients for use on OS X 10.5

I find mail to have very basic features and poor formatting options

I was using Postbox and really liked it. It's still in beta, so there are occasional crashes, but I never lost any data.

I've recently been trying out Mailplane since all my accounts now are Gmail or Google Apps accounts.

What are you missing from Mail? I think it's a little limited myself, but tried Thunderbird and couldn't get into it.
