I doubt it
I think the Mac will never be a huge "hacker target". Linux, due to its presence in the server market, will get the majority of attention. Windows is so easy to hack and has such a large percentage of users who have zero computer-savvy that it will always be the juicy target.
That said, I always perform any financial tasks in a read-only, liveCD linux virtual machine and follow NSA/NIST guidelines for hardening OSX. I have a non-root account that I use for everyday stuff on my Mac, and store sensitive files in an encrypted dmg file.
