yeah, it's a Keynote problem, not a GM problem (or, it could be a really wonky iWork install problem).

I'd expect a version of iWork that'll support versioning on Lion Launch, though.

i forgot about that

I was really hoping for an update for the entire iWork suite when the Mac App Store released. Let's hope for another surprise with the release of OS X Lion!

iWork '11 will come in the fall with iCloud integration, that's why it didn't come earlier!

For those following at home, deleting Keynote and reinstalling it fixed the problem.

And can you assure that there's a overnight event in U.S.? I have not seen that event on the web, If is not releasing tomorrow Cupertino 6 AM time, we'll have to wait another bloody week :(

No Lion release this week

John Siracusa from Ars Technica hears, and believes, it's not being released this week.

Mac fans around the world were expecting the release of Lion today

.....but they were, all of them, deceived.

In the land of Apple, in the darkest corners of Cupertino, the dark lord, Jobs, forged in secret, a master operating system, to control all others. And into this operating system, he poured his cruelty, his malice, and his will to dominate all gadgets. One OS to rule them all! :apple:

It shouldn't get released. There are still a couple of issue that need to be solved first. I hope Apple waits and doesn't publish the GM to the AppStore.

I understand where you're coming from, but don't agree. I think it should be released as soon as possible. Apple will then get more feedback on what "bugs" are present, and therefore they will be able to release a more complete update much sooner, making the OS much more stable in less time.

I disagree. I do not expect to have a bug free product. Such a thing doesn't exist, but Lion needs a bit of tweaking first. There are quite a few bugs still there and Apple won't be doing anyone any favor...

He also noted in his podcast that it was 3rd and 4th hand, so not to take it as fact.
