OS X mavericks sync with IOS Mail?

    Doesnt the MAIL app is OS X sync with the mail app in IOS? Its frustrating to get notification in the laptop after ive already opened the mail :/

    This does not sound like a Mail issue. It sounds like the email account at issue here is a POP3 account. POP accounts do not synchronize.

    Some email accounts offer the choice of POP or IMAP. Gmail and Yahoo! come to mind. If yours offers the choice of POP or IMAP, then reconfig your account as IMAP.

    Check your Mail accounts on both OS X and iOS -- I'm betting you'll see that they're using the POP protocol. The POP protocol doesn't allow for keeping email in sync between multiple devices. No email program can fix that.

    If your accounts are set to use POP, then check to see if your email provider supports IMAP. IMAP (and Exchange) protocols allow for keeping email in sync between multiple devices. Unfortunately, not every email provider supports it.

    Does hotmail, yahoo and gmail offer this? Mainly hotmail?
