Do you think Apple will ask users to pay $$$ for upgrading from a previous version of OS X to OS X Mavericks? Historically Apple has always charged users for OS X upgrades, but I find this a bit strange considering that iOS upgrades are always free. Why can't OS X upgrades also be free?

EDIT: Whoops! After browsing a little bit, I just realized that there's another active thread on the exact same topic. Sorry for the duplication.

If Apple puts down 50 or 60 million in development costs, they need to make their money back somehow.

Wasn't there already a poll for this exact same thing?

Well either way I voted $$$ I don't think their going to shift to a free software upgrade model for OSX, at least not yet anyways.
