OS X: Preview in Finder disappearing...

Hi,

When previewing MP3 files in OS X's Finder, occasionally my Preview disappears. I see the "busy" circle, as if something's loading into memory, then nothing comes up. I usually see a Quicktime-like play button and bar, but too frequently it just disappears. It doesn't get resolved until I reboot.

Any hints? 😕

Here are my specs:
G4 PowerMac
OSX 10.4.11 Tiger
