    Recently os x has been quitting and I've had to shut down my computer. I've tried to figure out the source of it but I've been having trouble pin-pointing the cause of this issue. Here is my error details. Any help?

    Hmm..

    Code:
    com.apple.driver.AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement(76.2.0)@0x73635000->0x73653fff
    Try resetting your Power Management Unit (SMC)

    Thanks for the quick reply. I'll give that a shot now.

    While I don't have much confidence that it will help, your next step should be a certified Apple Repair Center, or Apple Store, or a phone call to Apple Support. 90% confidence tells me this is a hardware problem that they will need to take care of. I hope you have AppleCare or are still in warranty!

    I upgraded my RAM from 2gb to 6gb a little while ago. I don't think that could be the source though as this problem began occurring about a month ago. Since I upgraded the error has become more frequent though.

    Same problem keeps occurring. Is my only option left to take my computer to the apple store? I think my computer is out of warranty. :(

    Put the old RAM back in. See if the problem goes away. It could definitely be the RAM.

    I'm going to put the old RAM back in tonight and see how it works out. Earlier today when it crashed again I got a little variation on the same old error message.
