I have a Mac Mini configured with OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.1 and OS X Server. The Mac Mini also has dual network interfaces (one built-in and one Thunderbolt Ethernet adapter). I have established VLANs on both interfaces based on my switch configuration:
VLAN 1 - Management interface (192.168.x.x) on Built-In Ethernet
VLAN 2 - Primary LAN (172.16.0.x) on Built-In Ethernet
VLAN 5 - Storage LAN (172.16.1.x) on Thunderbolt Adapter
I want to bring up a VPN server and have it bind to VLAN 2, but I see nowhere in the GUI that speaks to services and network bindings. My question is, does OS X bind services to ALL network interfaces, the first one encountered, or ???. Is there a CLI method to interrogate/manipulate a service for network binding?
Thanks!
Jeff
