im new to osx and i was wonderin how i could make my mac look like this:

Codetek sell virtual desktop software for OSX.

Or there is the free alternative.

I think Uno (http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/27932) is what you want to change the look of the Finder window (and others). The rest of it just looks like replacement icon sets.

I also recommend VirtueDesktop, which is better and cheaper than CodeTek Virtual Desktops.

icons use candybar
to change the finder backround it should be some pref, no app required.

You don't need CandyBar for icons. Just download the icons you want and copy/paste. (SOME things need CandyBar to be changed, like toolbar icons, but not folder icons)

Looks like most of the icons in that screenshot are from the Micro icon set.

Other than that, in the screenshot it looks like UNO is installed (like dr_lha said) and the Finder window background color has been changed (go to View Options in the Finder to change it — only works in Icon View).

the micro icon set is similar to the one in the picture, its not exact but its ok
