OS X upgrade for Macbook Air 1.1 Core 2 Duo?

Hello, Sorry about my language, I'm Spanish.

I have a Macbook Air 1.1 (early 2008) with Lion installed.

I'm looking for how to install any later version: Mountain Lion, Mavericks, Yosemite and The Captain.

I am looking on the Internet, but do not know if you can with this graphics card. Is it possible to install the drivers?

First hit when searching for "latest supported operating system for macbook air 1,1":

It states that OS X 10.7.5 is the last one available for your computer.

Also, the Wikipedia article for Mountain Lion explicitly says that it supports "MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer)".

While Apple officially only supports 10.7.5 it might be possible to install newer OS X. You can find instructions for Mavericks here. Anything newer than Mavericks is probably too slow for your Mac.

I don't recommend trying it because 1. It might not work at all. 2. If you can get it to work your Mac is probably much slower on newer OS and 3. Assuming it works in tolerable speed you will likely run into problems because it's not officially supported and tested.

With Mountain Lion you should still get graphics acceleration on the GMA X3100. It's only with Mavericks and later you'd run into this issue.
