Most of the security breaches in OSX comes not from viruses, but from trojan horses, which basically means it would require social engineering to do its job. Even the threat of trojan horses has been reduced with OSX now notifying users when they first run a suspicion program for the first time.

Personally I think the "marketshare" argument is a bit of FUD. Sure, there are loads more PCs out there and they are a ripe, easy target. But there are still how many Mac OS X users out there worldwide? 2 million? 5 million? 10 million? More? It's not like that's a particularly small target.
