OS10.3 Finder fits windows but HOW?

Recently i accidently hit a combination of keys that resulted in all windows being shrunk and spaced and fitted, but I cannot repeat this or find an answer in the Help. Do you have the Key(s)??

Are there other Finder tricks that are hidden and where can we learn of these?
