Using Windows XP SP3 and iTunes v9.1

Hold SHift, click check for update, point to ipsw file and shortly after see this message.

The iPhone phone could not be updated. An unknown error occurred (3000).

I have search forums - no find
I have searched Goofle - no find

if your phone is fully backuped up then try putting your phone into recovery mode and then doing an actual restore. I recommened if your udid is not added to a developers site then do not install the software

I was under the impression that the update only worked from a Mac.

Make sure your iTunes is updated. Also realize that the last beta was Mac-only, and this one might be too.
