    OSNews writer think apple's claim that "the iPhone and iPod Touch are capable of filling the netbook niche" is false. So he compiled a list what he can do with a netbook but not iPhone/iPT..

    Well for a lot of situations that I encounter, iPhone/iPod Touch is a netbook.

    What we call as netbooks todays are MUCH more than netbooks. That doesnt make iPhone less potent.

    i suspect the industry and most people now has a definition of what a netbook is, you argument would require to define that.

    Which is not the point of the article.

    Anyone that thinks the iPhone is a netbook is deluding themselves. A netbook is a device that can do the tasks of a notebook, but in a smaller and less powerful form factor. The iPhone is nothing of the sort. The article has lots of good reasons, but the biggest one is: the iPhone does not have a proper keyboard, and it does not have a big enough screen. It is not a netbook.
