OSx 10.4 - remove VPN from internet connect

How can you remove a VPN configuration from the internet connect panel in tiger? It also shows a VPN icon on the top menu bar that i cannot remove on a friends laptop. Any help would be great.

are these removable or do you just have to leave them blank and declick show in menu bar?

I don't remember, but perhaps there is a menu item on the menubar that allows you to delete one of these connections.
