OSX 10.5 Canon iPF5000 Issue

As noted in the title, I am running a Canon iPF5000 printer, and just upgraded to OSX 10.5. I cannot get the Canon printer driver to work with 10.5.

Canon tech support says new printer drivers will not be available until perhaps June.

However, some are using the same OS and printer set up and seem to have no compatibility problems.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
