Strange issue with OSX 10.8.5 "no longer connecting to server" after upgrading to Server.app 2.2.5 from it's previous version.

When I reboot, I can launch Server.app using the DNS server name and it connects and functions normally, and I can use Safari and hit web sites. But after an undefined amount of time, I can't connect via Server.app unless I put "localhost" into the Server address, and safari stops resolving connections to websites.

I can ping the GTWY, our enterprise DNS servers and website addresses. I confirmed that none of the networks setting changed during upgrade, and file sharing service is still running as well as screen sharing working. I also reset the com.apple.servermgrd certificate as it was expired.

I'd appreciate suggestions on troubleshooting...tnx
