OSX boot problem.

When I boot my macbook the screen stays grey for about 2 minutes, then a folder with a ? mark starts blinking.

But if I option into the boot loader, enter my password, and then select my OSX partition it loads perfectly fine.

Any way to fix this so I don't have to option into OSX every time I boot up?

It's extremely weird that the bootloader recognizes that partition as bootable when hold option but does not recognize it as bootable when you don't hold option. There is a possibility that you have a non-bootable partition listed as the startup disk. Try Sys Prefs -> Startup Disk and select the partition you want, then reboot.

If that doesn't work, read up on the bless CLU (command line utility).

thank you. that fixed it.

what happened was i deleted a windows partition in bootcamp and it screwed up the boot disk selection since windows was the default.
