You can double-click a folder to go to and return to the previous folder clicking the left "arrow" on the top left of the window or the right "arrow" to go the other way. I've been having the same issue. When I search a name, EVERYTHING comes up whether the search parameters are in the file or not. I've used Apple since 1998 and this is a very recent issue. Search has always been on point with MacBooks, but sometime in the past couple of years the function changed and it's just plain awful now. I had not known about the advanced search which definitely helps, but I much prefer the old version.Nope doesnt work. Still didnt find some log files.
It's just crazy there is not a SEARCH ALL in finder. This is what it should DEFAULT to and it doesn't exist.
