OSX global shortcut/script for searching mail.app?

does anyone know of a quick way to search OSX Snow Leopard's Mail.app while in any application on the mac?

I find myself searching this many times a day and i prefer searching in Mail's spotlight box rather than the menu bar (system) general spotlight search.

I am guessing there may at least be a script for this.

I believe Spotlight's it.

You can change the order results are displayed, though, if that helps. For example, you could put "Mail Messages" at the top of the list. (System Preferences > Spotlight, Search Results)
