OSX intersharing with PHY mode: N?

When sharing internet over an airport extreme, the created shared network comes up in the info list in "about my mac". And there it says that its "PHY mode: N". but when i connect to network with my MBA, it says that its only "PHY mode: G".

Has anybody managed to share internet with N-speeds?
