OSX LION not going beyond the initial Setup

I installed OSX lion from Leopard. but after install the initial satup window appeared. after filling all the infos it again show me the initial welcome setup window😕. i tried several times no work. but user name i used different one coz wont allow me use same as previous user names. please help me my mac-book is ruined now🙁🙁

3 GB RAM
160 HDD

You are installing Lion from Leopard? If that's the case, it should not upgrade at all.
