I have a new 13' MBP. Since I sometimes use it next to my iMac 24" I often plug it into an ethernet cable, although it does have wi-fi and it works fine. Tonight I noticed that if I have the ethernet plugged in and the wi-fi is also active, Finder does not show the iMac on the MBP finder window as a Shared resource, but the iMac does show the MBP. I can still connect to the MBP from the iMac and transfer files.

I rebooted the MBP without the ethernet cable and now Finder shows the iMac in the Shared computers.

I was wondering if anyone has any ideas why it does this? It's not a problem, I'm just wondering.

That's not a big of a problem. Some sort of little bug. Copy/paste that to a bug report form if you care about it🙂
