OSX restarting after idling 1-2 hours...Help!

So i'm a new Mac user, having just bought my Macbook pro in September. Unfortunately i have yet to solve this problem. Basically if my mac idles for 1-2 hours it will restart every time. I have fooled with the energy preferences tirelessly and have both the hard drive and monitor set to NEVER turn off, yet it will still restart every time i leave it idle for an hour or 2. It's really frustrating as i can't download music while away from home. I've searched some google articles but no one has seemed to pinpoint the problem. Any help?

Have you tried reinstalling the operating system? That sounds like a software related problem to me.
