In the System Preferences: Sound tab for my powerbook, the audio balance slider is always skewed a little bit to the right upon bootup. Anyone have a solution for this? It's very annoying.

The problem is that even if the slider is centered when the computer is shut off, it is still off center when it boots back up.

That sounds a little different than the known OS X bug about volume's balance being off, but similar nonetheless.
A lot of people have problems with the balance changing randomly (it's frequently caused by rapid volume increase/decrease). Nothing we can really do about it.
