Hi,

My OSX won't boot. I have boot camp, and I can go on windows perfectly fine. But when I power on, and hold option, if I click "Mac", it goes to the Apple Logo and it lasts a few seconds on the spiny gear, but then it just shuts off. Please help! I have stuff on there that I need. :[

Hanging on the spinning gear typically indicates a directory error. Try the steps recommended in this. John Doe's suggestion is 3rd in the list, but go from the top down to make sure you don't perform an entirely unnecessary step.
