The "Other" category in the capacity meter keeps growing. I didn't even use it last night and this morning I synced it, the "Other" category grew from 400B to over 500MB. No app updates, no new files added, nothing. I got a few new emails but they are all text emails with no attachments. A few of them have a picture or two but not something 100MB+ in size. I thought maybe it was the cache from Safari or other apps so I rebooted it. Nothing. Any thoughts?

Mine is over 1GB. I'd like to know exactly what it is and how to manage it. Apple doesn't think we need to know...

It's especially troubling since I have the 16GB model and I don't have that much space left.

EDIT: My reading comprehension sucks. I have read where people have done restores from their iTunes backups and it has helped fix the issue.

Problem solved! I just clicked restored the firmware and set it up from a backup. Went down from 500MB+ to 300MB+.
