My "Other" folder is over 8GB. I have searched online and completed many of the suggestions to resolve this. I have reset my phone and restored it from a back-up. I've deleted a lot of text messages (I'm not a big texter anyway), I don't use the iCal app.

I'm working on an iPhone 5s and it is fully updated.

The only curious thing I can find is that when I am in iTunes, my "Photos" is listed at 1.38 GB and the "Other" is listed at 8.51 GB. However, when I look in my iPhone at the phone storage, it lists my "Photos & Camera" usage at 9.5 GB. So, I'm using my excellent deduction skills to assume that this is where the problem lies. But, my skills end there. I've already emptied my "Recently Deleted" folder.

Any suggestions? Thanks for the help.

I am still in need of help on this issue, please let me know if you have any ideas on how to resolve this. TIA!

All, I'm really desperate here. I can't even sync my phone because I'm out of space. I'm trying to remove apps and anything else I can to at least get a sync to work but I can't. My "Other" folder is up to almost 10GB. Help please!

Restoring your phone from a back up won't usually help when it comes to restoring space. Also under iCloud > photos in settings are you optimizing space or downloading the photos?

How many photos and videos do you have on your phone? You can find that info in settings > general > about.

I have 27GB of Other storage. I suspect that's where my mysteriously disappeared music, pod casts, and videos went to after updating my OS to 8.broken. I can't touch it with iTunes sync. It's looking like I'm going to have to restart my phone from scratch.

NOT happy.
