iPod touch 'Other' on iPod Touch?

Some specs about my iPod Touch

8GB
Obviously not JB seeing as 2G cannot be jailbroken.

So i was syncing my touch, putting on videos and music etc etc and i noticed the 'Other' staring me in the face.

Any ideas about how to remove it or what it is?

No, isn't other the ipod touch apps that came with the ipod, the firmware. When i upgraded it other went up and it never goes up when i add album covers or something.
